PROBLEM SOLVING/ DECISION MAKING:
There will be a need for the ICT Officer to regularly face problems which he/she will resolve personally in relation to software and hardware support and in some cases will require reference to information sources external to the Company.
Advice and guidance will generally be of a complex and sometimes contentious nature and will focus on ensuring desired outcomes are met.
The ICT Officer will decide on the best course of action in most cases with referral to the ICT Operations Manager only occurring if there are serious or significant issues to be considered.

GENERAL PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within the ICT operations field
• Effective written and oral communication with ability to produce reports and present solutions
• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)

CONTEXT/SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of Diploma or higher degree within ICT related field, or substantial working experience within relevant fields and have obtained and maintained relevant certificates
• Ability to work independently to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify and isolate technical issues
• Proficiency in Computer applications including MS Office (especially Word, Excel & Access), Corel Draw, Internet, Database management, and diverse computer manipulations.
• Excellent typing skills will be an added advantage
